Today, we learned an interesting technique in photography which is light painting. Light paintings are made by taking a long exposure photograph while moving a hand-held light source. This technique is fun and sure to be enjoyed by all photographers, professional or not. We also learned how to properly set the ISO, aperture and the shutter speed of a camera. Playing around with the settings of my camera helped me find the right exposure for various photos. This can also help give the subject a sharp appearance and isolate it from the background.
Here are a few of my attempts at light painting. I have to admit that I suck at this, but I know I can do better with more practice.
